How it works.

The Recovery & Resilience team offer free support and information to individuals and households impacted by the bushfires across Wingecarribee and Wollondilly.  The service is delivered by a team of locally based Recovery Support Officers.

Recovery Support Officers are trained, local workers with skills in support work, case management or broader welfare work.  They are led by a Coordinator, with support, training, quality assurance, specialist advice, supervision and orientation to disaster-specific issues provided.

An individual or household needing support is assigned a Recovery Support Officer with the skills and expertise to assess their needs.  They will meet in venues familiar to the individual, such as their home, workplace or a familiar community space.
